THINK AND THINK ABOUT

Think of y Think about

Think of = opinion
Think about = process or detailed opinion

A veces hay muy poca diferencia entre think of y think about
I’m thinking about/of going abroad for a year.
I am thinking about/of buying a new washing machine.
We’re thinking of / about having dinner in the centre tonight

Se usa sólo think about cuando significa  pensar, considerar o reflexionar, meditar acerca de algo por ejemplo:
Do you want to go to the cinema or the theatre?...I’m not sure. Can I think about it for a few minutes?

Se usa solo think of cuando significa recordar, tener una idea u opinión o cuando no se ha pensado mucho acerca de algo o alguien o se ha pensado brevemente.
Exemples:
I can’t think of the word in Spanish.
What do you
think of classical music?
I’ve
thought of title for the new book!
She thought of her childhood when she saw the movie.

Importante:***"I think of you" ( You, specifically, are the person in my mind.)

"I think about you" (I think about your personality or characteristics
.)
