"IN” -"INTO"-INSIDE  

Estas dos preposiciones  en general no son intercambiables!!

In ----> Se utiliza cuando un objeto, o persona, están dentro de algún lugar o espacio.

Ex: She is in her office. "In" es estático ..... (Ella está dentro de la caja).

When you use in, you’re indicating position.

Ex:Her iPod was in her pocket.(Su Ipod estaba en su bolsillo)

Into ----> The word into implies movement or transformation.

Se utiliza para expresar que un objeto, o persona, están (o se ponen) dentro de otro. También puede decirse que Into expresa la dirección hacia dónde están yendo las personas o cosas. "Into" indica movimiento.

Ex: She jumped into the swimming pool. (Ella saltó adentro de la pizcina)

Ex: -I'll put my watch into this box. Ex Pondré el reloj dentro de la caja.

When you use into in a sentence, you’re indicating movement; an action is happening.

Ex: She stuffed her iPod into her backpack.(Metió su Ipad en su mochila)

MÁS EJEMPLOS CON "IN/INTO":

-Where are you? ¿Dónde estás? I'm in my room.

 Estoy en mi habitación. Nota: estoy indicando mi ubicación con "in".

- Where are you going? ¿Dónde vas? I'm going into my room.

 Estoy entrando en mi habitación.

- I am walking into the library. Estoy yendo a la biblioteca.

- I am in the library. Estoy en la biblioteca.

-She was putting the images into the report when he came in.

 Ella estaba colocando las imagénes en el informe cuando él entró.

-What kind of image did you put in the report? -he asked her. ¿Qué tipo de imagen pusiste en el informe?

-He jumped into the water.

- Go jump in the lakes.

-I'm in the living room.

 -She walked into the living room.

Inside:Significa adentro. It  used for saying that someone or something is in a room or building, especially when you are outside.

Ej: I’m inside the house.

Ej: We decided to eat inside because it was cold on the terrace.
