Fun suele usarse para describer algo que tú disfrutas haciendo

Fun se utiliza para describir algo que nos gusta hacer, algo que realmente disfrutamos→ It is fun to play football= Es divertido jugar futbol.

Es decir, implica un estado de ánimo placentero pero tranquilo. No es un estado en el que nos estemos riendo a las carcajadas.

Funny es normalmente usado para hablar acerca de cosas que nos hacen reir

Funny se usa generalmente para describir cosas o personas que nos hacen o han hecho reír→Charles Chaplin was a very funny actor = Charles Chaplin era un actor muy cómico (chistoso).
